Say if I, a 20 something middle class Australian male, wanted to join a Lebanese "gang" the same age as me, it's sad but I think maybe I would be turned away if not laughed at or abused. On the other hand, what is a "true Australian"? I know plenty of people with Asian background who wear thongs, love beers and the beach. I've enjoyed BBQs with people of Middle Eastern background.
