{"id":1022,"date":"2008-02-04T15:33:42","date_gmt":"2008-02-04T05:33:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=1022"},"modified":"2008-02-04T15:36:35","modified_gmt":"2008-02-04T05:36:35","slug":"lech-walesa-has-a-lot-to-answer-for","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=1022","title":{"rendered":"Lech Walesa has a lot to answer for"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bah humbug!<\/p>\n<p>In terrible news for trainspotters, there&#8217;s been a reconsolidation on <a href=\"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?page_id=336\">the Trotskyist left in Australia<\/a>: the International Socialist Organisation (ISO), the Socialist Action Group (SAG) and Solidarity have agreed to join together in a new Party, imaginatively titled &#8216;Solidarity&#8217; (in gross violation of The Art &#038; Science of Socialist Party Building; <em>see<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terrynorm.ic24.net\/political%20parties.htm\">HOW TO FORM YOUR OWN [SOCIALIST] POLITICAL PARTY: A BEGINNER&#8217;S GUIDE<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><em>Boo!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Bob the Bookseller (and Revolutionary Firebrand) with more:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Three groups in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reasoninrevolt.net.au\/biogs\/E000501b.htm\">International Socialists<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.istendency.net\/\">tradition<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iso.org.au\">the International Socialist Organisation<\/a>, Solidarity (a group consisting [of] some people who split from the ISO and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sa.org.au\">Socialist Alternative<\/a> a few years ago [2004]) and the Brisbane-based Socialist Action Group, which split from Socialist Alternative a few years ago [2004], unified at a conference on the weekend of February 2-3.<\/p>\n<p>The united organisation will be known as Solidarity.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m reliably informed that the conference proceeded in a serious way with little acrimony.<\/p>\n<p>This reduces the number of IS-tradition groups in Australia to two: Solidarity and the <a href=\"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=474\">extremely<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=728\">propagandist<\/a> Socialist Alternative.<\/p>\n<p>The general framework of the common orientation, which was the consensus of the conference, is based on electoral support for the Greens and then Labor under the preferential system and a broader united front tactic towards the ranks of the Greens, the trade unions and the Labor Party.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Boo!<\/em> I says, <em>Boo!<\/em> I also asks myself, what does it mean?
