But how, and what were the consequences? These reprinted bulletins from the Joint Committee for the Defense of Revolutionists Imprisoned in Russia and the Relief Fund of the International Working Men\u2019s Association for Anarchists and Anarcho-Syndicalists Imprisoned or Exiled in Russia show it as it happened. They \u2018shed a little light on the struggles of our comrades and keep their names alive\u2019 (p.x)&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>See also<\/em> : <a href=\"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=1827\">Black Flag: Bulletin of the Anarchist Black Cross<\/a> (April 14, 2009) | <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ditext.com\/voline\/unknown.html\">The Unknown Revolution, 1917-1921<\/a><\/em> by Voline (1882-1945) | <a href=\"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=14944\">Leninist critiques of anarchism<\/a> (March 25, 2010).<\/p>\n<p><strong>State\/Politics \/ Trot Guide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another call for unity on the left, this time by SA in Victoria (<a href=\"http:\/\/links.org.au\/node\/1600\">&#8216;Socialism of the 21st century\u2019 and left unity<\/a>): &#8220;In Victoria this year we will most likely have both federal and state elections. It would be a real step forward if all socialist groups publicly supported the candidates of other socialist organisations (Socialist Alliance, Socialist Party, Revolutionary Socialist Party and Communist Party of Australia) and advocated a first-preference vote for them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Socialist Equality Party &#8212; the Australian section of the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI), the world party of socialist revolution &#8212; is not included in this list, probably <a href=\"http:\/\/wsws.org\/articles\/2001\/may2001\/soca-m24.shtml\">not without reason<\/a>, as the SEP only make reference to the SA in order to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsws.org\/articles\/2009\/nov2009\/desp-n12.shtml\">denounce<\/a> it, whereas the SA do what most everybody else does with regards the SEP, and ignore it.<\/p>\n<ul><em>Links<\/em> &#8212; which is published by SA <em>nee<\/em> DSP &#8212; has published a <a href=\"http:\/\/links.org.au\/node\/1605\">statement<\/a> by COSATU on &#8220;the brutal <a href=\"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=15719\">murder<\/a> of Eugene Terre\u2019Blanche on April 3, 2010&#8243;. Oddly, for an Australian-based publication, <em>Links<\/em> is most popular in the US, and by a fairly wide margin.<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s unlikely &#8212; to put it mildly &#8212; that SA or any of the other Marxist parties will trouble any former lawyers as they make their way to their rightful place to a seat in State Parliament &#8212; although stranger things have happened. For my money &#8212; and keep in mind I live below the poverty line &#8212; the only possible exception would be inner-city Melbourne, where several seats &#8212; Brunswick, Melbourne, Northcote and Richmond, which are otherwise the property of Labor &#8212; are under pressure from The Greens.<\/p>\n<p><em>See also<\/em> : <a href=\"http:\/\/\">What happened to the Left?<\/a> (February 27, 2010).<\/p>\n<p><strong>History \/ Media \/ Music<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/datasearch2.uts.edu.au\/fass\/news-events\/news-detail.cfm?ItemId=20479\">&#8216;Spinning the Media&#8217;<\/a> is 6 month investigation by the University of Technology (UTS) Sydney and Crikey online news into the role PR plays in making the media.&#8221; Crikey asks: &#8220;Is the news you\u2019re reading the work of a journalist \u2026 or a PR agent?&#8221; The obvious rejoinder being, &#8216;There&#8217;s a difference?&#8217; <em>See also<\/em> : Alex Carey, <em>Taking the Risk Out of Democracy: Propaganda in the US and Australia<\/em> (University of New South Wales Press, 1988).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/all-embracing.episto.org\/\">All-Embracing But Underwhelming<\/a> is a blog by a Kiwi who works for The Illuminati. His role in <a href=\"http:\/\/all-embracing.episto.org\/2010\/01\/15\/my-name-in-pixels\/\">undermining<\/a> Kerry Bolton&#8217;s pioneering work in bringing THE TROOF to The Masses is currently being undertaken by way of that sinister institution known as The Academy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theantibogan.wordpress.com\/\">Fuck Off We&#8217;re Full of Racists<\/a> explores the <em>Wide World of Racist Stoopid<\/em> on Facebook (as well as providing some more serious commentary on matters relating to racial politics in Australia).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_QLk-UUz7N1I\/S7Oh2i-241I\/AAAAAAAAABE\/MhZ6Uia5V2M\/s400\/polltax2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/history-is-made-at-night.blogspot.com\/\">History is Made at Night &#8211; The Politics of Dancing and Musicking<\/a> is neat-o, especially <a href=\"http:\/\/history-is-made-at-night.blogspot.com\/2010\/03\/1990-trafalgar-square-memories.html\">1990: Trafalgar Square Memories<\/a> (March 31, 2010), which is all about how the vilified and persecuted forces of genuine Marxism gathered around the newspaper \u2018Militant\u2019 saved the day&#8230; or <a href=\"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=14715\">not<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thebadolddayswillend.blogspot.com\/\">The bad old days will end<\/a> is &#8220;Home of the Freedom Pass Anarchists and the wonderful world of professional wrestling, psychogeography, allotments and the class struggle.&#8221; The author writes: &#8220;On the day that I retired from my final job as a lockkeeper I left the following on the wall&#8230; I started work at fifteen years of age. You noted that as early as 1978, the Great Leader of the SL, Jim Robertson, referred to the Kurds as &#8220;Turds.&#8221; You were rightfully indignant at this blatantly chauvinist sneer.
