{"id":1642,"date":"2009-01-22T13:25:14","date_gmt":"2009-01-22T03:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=1642"},"modified":"2009-01-22T13:25:14","modified_gmt":"2009-01-22T03:25:14","slug":"andrew-giles-peters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=1642","title":{"rendered":"Andrew Giles-Peters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damn.<\/p>\n<p>I just got word that Andrew Giles-Peters (below) died earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, Andrew was an anarchist, a student activist in the late 1960s and &#8217;70s, and a philosopher who wrote and taught extensively on revolutionary history and ideology, including developing a libertarian interpretation of Marx (see for example his translation of <a href=\"http:\/\/libcom.org\/library\/ten-theses-korsch\">&#8216;Ten Theses on Marxism Today&#8217;<\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/marxists.org\/archive\/korsch\/index.htm\">Karl Korsch<\/a>, originally published in <em>Telos<\/em>, Winter 1975\/6, and <a href=\"http:\/\/raforum.info\/article.php3?id_article=4221\">&#8216;Karl Korsch: A Marxist Friend of Anarchism&#8217;<\/a>, originally published in <em>Red &#038; Black<\/em>, No.5, 1973.
