The title of the release echoes that of John Stoltenberg&#8217;s (1945&#8211;) 1989 book <em>Refusing to Be a Man: Essays on Sex and Justice<\/em>. Also of interest is Australian scholar <a href=\"http:\/\/www-personal.edfac.usyd.edu.au\/staff\/connellr\/\">R.W. (Raewyn) Connell<\/a>&#8216;s (1944&#8211;) <em>Masculinities<\/em> (1995\/2005): &#8220;In its first edition, <em>Masculinities<\/em> provided one of the most important voices in feminist scholarship by men. Connell argued that there is no such thing as a single concept of masculinity, but, rather, that many different masculinities exist, each associated with different positions of power.
