A blog called ‘Iran in the Gulf’ has provided translations<\/a> of Khiaban<\/em> (‘The Street’) newspaper, which is apparently circulating among oppositional elements. “Long live popular sovereignty! Long live resistance to the Coup D\u2019\u00e9tat! Death to dictatorship!”<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the dictatorship seems to be managing to bring death to the ‘resistance’:<\/p>\n

“At 19:05 on June 20 on Karekar Avenue, at the corner crossing Khosravi and Salehi Streets, a young woman who was standing beside her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house… I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that… she died in less than 2 minutes. The protests were going on about 1 kilometer away in the main street and some of the protesting crowd were running from tear gas… towards Salehi Street.”<\/p>\n
