Thru his distro (and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/label\/Spiral%20Objective\" target=\"_blank\">label: 1991&#8211;2000<\/a>) he helped introduce me and countless others to a world of punk and hardcore musick, firmly rooted in a commitment to social justice and solidarity with a range of local and global projects.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-4GVvYflXRFY\/UdHDiDKoyPI\/AAAAAAAAAmk\/U-G559G0opo\/s640\/_MG_4581.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The fire that destroyed the Black Cockatoo Arthouse (Park St,  McLaren Vale, South Australia) and which housed Greg&#8217;s collection took place in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackcockatooarthouse.blogspot.com.au\/2013\/09\/fire-destruction-and-rebirth.html\" target=\"_blank\">early September<\/a> but I only read about it now <em><a href=\"http:\/\/restassuredzine.com\/news\/2441-greg-spiral-objective-price-of-silence-loses-record-collection-to-fire\" target=\"_blank\">via<\/a><\/em> Rest Assured zine &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-Sg-F0FxHCJM\/UireHRBcH5I\/AAAAAAAAAp8\/Xjoxl6-tmCk\/s640\/305356-90cb98fc-15c8-11e3-bfe3-15bd677d882b.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(Details on how you can help Greg and Black Cockatoo Arthouse get back up on their feet are available <em>via<\/em> Rest Assured.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Very sad &#8230; I remember encountering Greg\/Spiral Objective mail order sometime in the early &#8217;90s thru an ad in the Green Left Weekly(!).
