OTTAWA \u2014 The unknown author of the zeromeanszero blog at zeromeanszero.blogspot.com<\/a> may soon face litigation if privacy and online reputation management lawyer Brian Bowman has his way.<\/p>\n

Bowman, with the Winnipeg firm Pitblado LLP, announced his plan on CFRA radio Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

He said he is acting on behalf of a anonymous client from Ottawa.<\/p>\n

Bowman stressed that his client is definitely not Ottawa Mayor Larry O\u2019Brien, who is often the target of the blog…<\/p>\n

Bowman said he has been in discussion with Google Inc., which operates blogspot.com. There is a chance, said Bowman, that Google will shut down the site \u2014 with or without a court order \u2014 and it might not release the name of the blogger…<\/p>\n

Bowman said that if the zeromeanszero blogger’s identity is revealed, it could open the door for a class-action lawsuit on behalf of everyone who thinks they\u2019ve been defamed by the blog.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
