Arcane messages were pasted at the sites, but it was difficult to ask for an explanation. The author was never identified&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah well, that&#8217;s &#8216;cos he&#8217;s dead right? Funny thing is, unlike <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stephenjdubner.com\/journalism\/101899.html\">Uncle Ted<\/a>, The Splashers didn&#8217;t need to engage in a bombing campaign in order to get their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/06\/27\/arts\/design\/28splasher.sidebar.html?_r=1&#038;oref=slogin\">manifesto<\/a> published. Most [of] the copy is mumbo jumbo like this: &#8220;A fetishized action of banality, your work is a trough for the gallery owners and critics&#8221;. Who would deface <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theage.com.au\/articles\/2003\/08\/13\/1060588454223.html\">graffiti<\/a>, of all things?
