{"id":8487,"date":"2009-10-06T14:36:48","date_gmt":"2009-10-06T04:36:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=8487"},"modified":"2009-10-06T14:39:46","modified_gmt":"2009-10-06T04:39:46","slug":"man-arrested-for-twittering-goes-to-court-eff-has-the-documents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slackbastard.anarchobase.com\/?p=8487","title":{"rendered":"Man Arrested for Twittering Goes to Court, EFF Has the Documents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eff.org\/deeplinks\/2009\/10\/man-arrested-twittering-goes-court-eff-has-documen\">Man Arrested for Twittering Goes to Court, EFF Has the Documents<\/a><br \/>\nKevin Bankston<br \/>\nEFF<br \/>\nOctober 5, 2009<\/p>\n<p>Over the past day, [e]veryone has been reporting about the arrest last month of Elliot Madison for twittering about police movements to protesters during the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, PA.<\/p>\n<p>The reason this is being reported on now is because on last Thursday, the FBI also raided Mr. Madison&#8217;s home in Queens, NY, followed on Friday by Mr. Madison&#8217;s filing of a motion in the Eastern District of New York federal court in Brooklyn for the return of his seized property.<\/p>\n<p>In reviewing all the stories, we saw lots of quotes from Mr. Madison&#8217;s legal filings and from the Pennsylvania state criminal complaint against him, but no links to the legal papers themselves.
