Brandi is a writer and reporter for numerous outlets (including Daily Kos and Law & Crime) but, since January 2021, she’s been closely following the events surrounding the failed coup/insurrection by angwy Trumpists. Hence, Brandi:
covered the formation and rise of the U.S. House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol and later, reported on the committee’s work live and in-depth, ultimately receiving a citation in the committee’s final report. She went on to cover both of the marathon Oath Keepers and Proud Boys seditious conspiracy trials live from the federal courthouse in Washington, D.C., and is currently writing a book about the historic trials.
We spoke to Brandi about the events of January 6, 2021, the subsequent criminal trials of many hundreds of its participants (including Proud Boys and Oath Keepers); Trump, his many trials and tribulations ahead of next year’s US presidential election — and more besides.
