Yeah Nah Pasaran! #202 w Tyler West on Southern Africa in the political imagination of New Zealand’s radical right : April 4, 2024

This week on Yeah Nah Pasaran! on 3CR we talk to Tyler West. Tyler is an historian who blogs at Notes South From Nowhere and is the co-author, with Dr Sebastian Potgieter, of ‘‘A bastion of white supremacy’: Southern Africa in the political imagination of New Zealand’s radical right’, which ‘unearths a long history of rightist solidarity in New Zealand with the cause of white rule in Southern Africa’ (see : Histories of Hate: The Radical Right in Aotearoa New Zealand (Otago University Press, 2023)). We spoke to Tyler about this history and some of its contemporary resonances.
