The bad news: Medhurst put in another ordinary performance, Collingwood was badly beaten in the ruck, and in fact in most positions (with a few honourable exceptions, not least Swan), and for most of the match. The good news: thanks in part to some great play by Davis, some good kicking by Rocca (and some poor kicking by Pavlich), Collingwood still managed to sneak home with a win. Oh, and the best news: Tarrant played like a complete wanker — and it was reassuring to witness him continue to display the form that saw him finally depart from the club last year.
- FREMANTLE is incensed at a Channel 7 promo for tonight’s game against Collingwood that mocks Chris Tarrant’s kicking for goal. Tarrant, who will play his first game against his old club at the MCG, is seen spraying a shot at goal, accompanied by the voiceover: “Don’t miss the Chris Tarrant kicking extravaganza.”
