The Noise of Democracy in Melbourne 2012

Greens or Labor? Probably — and somewhat contrary to expectations — Labor.

But who cares?

The real competition was between Anarchy, Communism, Constitutionalism, Christianity, Secularism and Sex. Currently:

1. [Sex!] PATTEN, Fiona (Sex Party): 1801 / 6.61%
2. *MAYNE, Stephen: 1293 / 4.75%
3. [Christ!] FENN, Ashley (Family First): 802 / 2.94%
4. [Christ!] MURPHY, Michael (Democratic Labor Party): 521 / 1.91%
5. [Christ!] BENGTSSON, Maria (Australian Christians[?]): 339 / 1.24%
6. [Anarchy!] TOSCANO, Joseph: 204 / 0.75%
7. *WHITEHEAD, Adrian: 165 / 0.61%
8. [Democracy!] *COLLYER, David James (Democrats): 160 / 0.59%
9. [Communism!] O’CONNOR, Patrick (Socialist Equality Party): 148 / 0.54%
10. [Secularism] PERKINS, John (Secular Party of Australia): 139 / 0.51%
11. [Constitutionalism] SCHOREL-HLAVKA, Gerrit Hendrik: 64 / 0.23%

In the three-way race (2009) between Toscano, Patten and Collyer, Patten is again coming first, with Toscano second and Collyer bringing up the rear. Sex Patten has also managed to again defeat Stephen Mayne: in Patten v Mayne v Whitehead, results are very similar to those of 2010.

About @ndy

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I like anarchy. I don't like nazis. I enjoy eating pizza and drinking beer. I barrack for the greatest football team on Earth: Collingwood Magpies. The 2024 premiership's a cakewalk for the good old Collingwood.
