They’re back!
Well, most of ’em.
On August 30, M4WA supporters will again be reclaiming the streets for White Australia, ‘remigration’ and — of course — #FreezePeach.
The march takes place on the first anniversary of the previous march in Melbourne/Naarm and the subsequent, celebratory attack on Camp Sovereignty by local neo-Nazis belonging to Tom Sewell’s (now-proscribed) National Socialist Network. Over a dozen men were charged over that matter: Nathan Matthew Bull, Haymish Busscher, Blake Cathcart, Billy Michael Conheady, Jake Crockett, Zack Steven Dewaard, Augustus Coolie Hartigan, Jaeden Bernard Johnson, Timothy Holger Lutze, Michael Nelson, Michael Saarinen, Thomas Sewell, Ryan Williams and Yan Zakharin. Of these, Zakarin has been deported back to Ukraine, and earlier this month, ‘Jaeden Johnson, Zack Dewaard, Blake Cathcart and Timothy Lutze pleaded guilty to one charge each of violent disorder, with Johnson and Lutze also pleading guilty to committing an indictable offence while on bail’. Lutze failed to attend a court hearing on August 14 and it was subsequently reported that he was, in fact, dead. Cases against the others allegedly involved in the attack are otherwise making their way through the courts.
As for M4WA in 2026, while Bec Walker (now known as FightForAustralia) once led the charge from Sydney, on this occasion property developer scion Hugo Lennon (like Australia’s leading neo-Nazi website, also sponsored by Facebook) — having wrested control of their socials from Walker — has appointed himself the Sir Topham Hatt of the racist carnival. Joining him will be his frens in the (former) NSN, Matt Trihey and his NWA and, presumably, an unknown number of PHONy supporters and other right-wing bizarr0s.
Anyway, while Trans Queer Solidarity has announced a protest event, a Rock Against Racism gig has been organised at Camp Sovereignty on Sunday afternoon.
