Word on the street is that the 2007 Ian Stuart Donaldson memorial gig, a neo-Nazi concert organised by local branches of the international neo-Nazi networks Blood & Honour and the Hammerskins, is taking place tonight at a football (soccer) club located in the Melbourne suburb of North Sunshine.
The Melbourne Knights are obviously deeply committed to preserving their sterling reputation in Victoria as a Club that is more interested in football than the promotion of fascist politics. Or, possibly, the Club has had a change of heart, and is sending a clear message that — in accordance with its prior standing as providing a happy home to Croatian fascists — it’s now no longer even bothering to conceal its hatred of Jews.

As I said on FDB- was it the Melbourne Knights who actually hosted it, or just the Melbourne Croatia Social Club? I mean, the Knights play there, but doesn’t the Social Club itself own the ground and all the facilities, rather than the soccer team? I’m not completely sure, but I thought the venue (and associated management, etc) was separate from the soccer team. Given the seriousness of the issue, it would really suck to see blame for this placed where it shouldn’t be.

Is it just a coincidence that this person calls themselves ‘bull’? Is this tough-sounding probably self-applied ‘nickname’ really a clever moment of self-critique, undermining in advance the obviously near-universal reaction bull’s comments will generate ie. that bull is a cretin, by demonstrating a level of awareness about the ridiculous nature of this performance – a kind of auto-deconstruction of this version of what I take it ‘bull’ believes to be ‘masculinity’? So the joke is on me if I write some semi-literate, desperately boy-sy repost in which I refer to the author and some barely identifiable other person as, say, cock and bull? Just a thought…

oh and lumpen the only light i can shine on his idiotic choice of name is maybe it’s a reference to “bullen” or bulls which is what you call coppers in germany (i’m a dual citizen) and it’s a reference to their wanting to be the police of the world … but then again it might just be he has the brain of a 12 year old (wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the body too)
