A friend of a friend writes:
…a good friend of mine was attacked on her bike in Brunswick on Friday night [June 14]. She is OK thank goodness, but very shaken obviously.
She was on Colebrook Street, near Moreland station, just off the Sydney Road bike path. He was wearing a balaclava. He tried to pull her off her bike.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL riding your bike at night in this area. Be on the lookout and avoid areas where there are no people. Carry a whistle with you and have your phone on.

My friend has reported the incident to the police, but they are hopeless with these things…
That’s a worry.
