The Platform : A new anarchist zine by Anarchist Affinity

The Platform is the title of a new anarchist zine by the Melbourne-based anarchist-communist group Anarchist Affinity. The first A5, B&W printed issue contains: articles on attacks on Medicare and health inequality, the boycott campaign of the Biennale of Sydney, confronting sexual violence in the left, and the impact of repressive new laws in Victoria; interviews with a Tamil refugee about the Tamil refugee experience and with Michael Schmidt (co-author, Global Fire) on the global impact of revolutionary anarchism and finally; a statement of the group’s principles. The zine will be available at the upcoming Sydney Anarchist Bookfair (March 22). So too will be the second issue of Sedition, a joint publication of Jura Books and the Melbourne Anarchist Club.

Note : Michael Schmidt will be speaking at Trades Hall this Wednesday in Meeting Room 1 from 6.30.
