This week on Yeah Nah Pasaran! we talk to Kate Burns [Twitter]. Kate is an LA-based writer and anti-fascist researcher with a particular interest in Christian extremism. Recently, Kate wrote Preaching Fascism: Inside San Diego’s Awaken Megachurch (Left Coast Right Watch, February 21, 2023). We spoke to her about how ‘Awaken has become a hotbed for San Diego’s Christofascist scene. It’s a regular stop for some of America’s biggest right wing mouthpieces including Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Sean Feucht and Clay Clark’s “Reawaken America” tour featuring Michael Flynn, Roger Stone and Eric Trump. The church is also in bed with Charlie Kirk and TPUSA Faith.’
