Australian Defence League: May 15 rally and counter-rally

Seriously.

The “Australian Defence League”, in one form or another, has been eking out an existence online for several years now. In April of last year, the virtual association announced that it would be participating in a public rally against Islam and immigration. A counter-rally was organised, the ADL rally was aborted, and a handful of ADL supporters — including one obviously drug-addled bonehead — were forced to seek comfort in a nearby pub. (Note that one of the organisers of this rally, some bloke called Glenn Anderson, has recently been featured on The Anti-Bogan blog.) Then in October 2010, the infidel typists declared that they’d be gathering again at the Sydney Opera House to defend Australia from the Taliban. Again: not-a-great-success.

Recently, the ADL has been placed UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, viz, a whingeing Pom/foreign troublemaker named “Martin Brennan”. In early April, Martin announced that the ADL would be holding its first (sic) official rally at midday in Federation Square in Melbourne on Sunday, May 15 (followed by a march on Parliament). An ‘Event’ page was subsequently created and several dozen Facebook users indicated that they’d attend, some even claiming to be willing to travel from England!

Now, the ‘Event’ has been cancelled.

Or has it?

Well, no: elsewhere, members of the ADL insist that the rally and march will be going ahead, and masses of concerned citizens what hate Mooselems/refugees will be assembling at midday at Federation Square. Oddly enough, May 15 is also Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival. On an even more bizarre note, the nutty YouTube video which has been produced to promote the Event has been uploaded by the “EDLJewishDivision”. (The “EDLJewishDivision” got into a li’l bit of trouble earlier in the year when its leader, Roberta Moore, aligned the Zionist groupuscule with the US-based “Jewish Task Force”, mostly known for its supposed embrace of blowing shit up.) In any case, in the video in question, Brennan incoherently rants that:

…the threat of Islam is prevalent here in Australia. Siddiq-Conlon leader Australiah [sic] for Australia has been posted as saying Australians will be ruled by Sharia. Modern Muslims are worried because they know one day they won’t be able to drink their beer, eat their pork. One day they know they will be controlled by Islam. Well I have news for you Mr Conlon, and your like-minded Muslim friends. You have been ranting your mouths off for far too long and now Australians finally hear you. Australians say no to Sharia law, no to Sharia finance, no to halal, and no to the Islamisation of our nation. We are a country built on multiculturalism and democracy, both of which are under severe threat from Islam. Come the 15th of May Australians of all walks of life will march together united as one, to put the stop to the Islamicisation of our nation and the implementation of barbaric Sharia law.

O RLY?

Whatever.

A counter-rally has been organised, so it will be interesting to see who rocks up (in addition to those celebrating Prince Siddhartha Gautama’s birthday).

In England, the Defence League has continued to roll along under the (occasionally disputed) leadership of former BNP member and tanning-salon owner Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (aka Tommy Fucking Robinson). Of late, its Facebook presence has been mucked about with by Muslamic hackers, the chief EDL page has disappeared into the ether, while a replacement page looks likely to struggle to attract as many users willing to hit the ‘Like’ button on their screens as the original. Beyond this, the EDL has clarified its understanding of what it seeks to “defend” by declaring its hatred of rebellious students and workers and love of monarchical rule…

  1. Kimby says:

Brennan, please do not speak for me. I do not fear any threat of Islam. I have no problems with halal – it all tastes exactly the damn same. And, as an Australian, I understand that celebrating multiculturalism and diversity DOES NOT mean excluding a group of people.

  2. @ndy says:

Yeah I dunno. Australia has a foreign head of state whose status as such is determined by birth, so it seems appropriate, in a way, for an Englishman named Martin to speak on behalf of Australians on the subject of Islam.

‘Cause a salon owner from Luton named Yaxley-Lennon says he can.

    NO SURRENDER!

  3. inglourious_basterd says:

And yeah they have Muslamic rayguns so they must be invincible or something.

You serious @ndy? Yackers owns a salon as in hairdresser?

    ROFL.

  4. AustralianDefenseLeague says:

Welll… all the left wing nut cases are on the job… early too. Did you take your hangover pills?

It should be an interesting day, because I’ll be there but I don’t inhabit pubs, and don’t even have a mullet. Will I be accepted??? Hmmm.

The problem with you leftys is that you probably don’t have the slightest clue why you think like you do… let me educate you.

You have mostly been brought up in an education system which is infected with “Political Correctness” and obviously this current aberration of cultural marxism has had a significant effect- *it worked* on you blokes. Unfortunately, your ideological messiah, Herbert Marcuse, is dead, as is his idol Marx. Marcuse may have programmed the minds of receptive 60s liberals, and spawned lecturers in the humanities departments who have their quiet times reading and re-reading ‘Repressive Tolerance’ (1965) each day, telling themselves “we do have meaning yes we dooo”. Of course a jolt of the weed or a sniff of cocaine is probably needed to bring in the expected euphoria that the QT didn’t.

The ADL will stumble along. I don’t expect huge numbers to come out (well not from our ranks anyway) but at least there is a “counter rally” being organized… *smile*… why even bother? Maybe we’ll only get 5 or 10 who knows?

But I’m sure we’ll know we’re alive on that day eh! Aaah smell that ideological cordite!

Just a final note. If you think the ADL sees its power in how many people can make it to a rally you would be very very mistaken. We have *powers* which are unknown to you, but I won’t share that with you folks… you’ll find out in good time (all peaceful and lawful of course).

I’m not Martin. I’m some other bloke who shares the vision.

  5. Millsie says:

The ADL has ‘powers’? WTF. Do you know how to do the ‘Jedi mind trick’ or something? Can you pull a rabbit out of your sleeve? The only power that I can see is your power to speak pure and utter bullshit.

    Brighton Mayday By ‘Malatesta’

Crivvens! Off down to Brighton again this weekend (Hove actually) for Nanatesta’s birthday but had to borrow her bike to go and see what was happening with the Mayday protests for a couple of hours. The RV point was announced over the net and was at West Pier at 12 and from there various groups split off or were operating independently throughout the day. By the time we arrived at 1.30, a contingent of anarchists and other protestors were kettled in at Pavilion Gardens – much to the annoyance of the outdoor diners there. There was 1 lad arrested and dragged to a waiting van where he was harassed by 2 cops and had his head pulled back by his hair to get his mug shot. We observed through the windows. By this time the city centre was blocked not by the protest but by the vast number of cop vehicles: if anyone is guilty of disrupting traffic and ‘affecting business’ (as if we should care about ‘business’) it was plod.

After what seemed like some tenuous negotiations, plod let the protestors into the gardens where they got a standing ovation from some of the punters there. Prior to this some plod were stood down. The protestors then took off on a run past the library with the cops wheezing after them. The cops hated it. The mob then ran down to the Level and after running through side streets ended up near the station. By now the numbers had increased. A few members of the EDL’s Weight Watchers division up the road chanted from behind a thick line of cops. How brave. Instead of fighting ‘Muslamic Extremism’ they should fight Calorific Extremism. Plod had blocked off access so the anarchists went back down to the lanes. Then your correspondent had to tactically withdraw back to Nanatesta’s and all the little Minitesta’s for tea.

The tactic of small, mobile groups of militants frustrates the cops immensely and it is an extremely useful one. They had 3 layers of uniform and riot helmets on, were knackered and sweating profusely. Most protestors were in t-shirts and in a lot better shape than the plump plod ranks. Sussex police had overreacted and clogged Brighton with their vans, motorbikes, horses and cars. Any blame for blocking traffic is theirs: don’t they know about Park & Ride? The copper chopper was in the air for hours and sirens were going off all over the shop. At last week’s Lurch For England fat-fest it was possible to witness a blossoming romance between Sussex plod and the March For England – whose slogan must surely be ‘We’re not EDL or BNP! We’re both!’ Plod were aggressive towards anti-fascists – or locals, compared to the bussed in MfE – and ignored missiles and abusive chanting from the EDL. OB were nervous but cautious this time and it was hilarious to see so many of them getting the run-around earning their overtime the hard way. Well done to the fleet footed protestors. Sussex bill clearly doubt their abilities to police these things. They brought in plod from Kent and Lewes and also admitted there were cops from the Met there. Why? FIT cops were much in evidence and some ordinary coppers on the hoof were seen with digital film cameras – which no doubt will produce some out of focus wobbly images. They lost control and the protestors – merely by being a few stone lighter – easily outmanoeuvred them. Here’s 2 words for Sussex police – Jazz-ercise!

    Rings of Steel

In case you hadn’t noticed, 2 benefit scroungers were hitched at the taxpayer’s expense this week. The ineffectual paper mullahs of the Muslims Against Crusades had made threatening noises about disrupting it – they always make noise but never seem to do anything. The English Defence League stepped up to the mark and promised a ‘ring of steel’ around London to protect the Royal do. How you form a ‘ring’ round London with only 7 of you is difficult to figure. And all has not been well with the EDL either. Tommy Robinson aka Stephen Caxley-Trousers is under increasing pressure from all sides and has done a runner – not even helping out with the ‘rings of steel.’ Their Facebook pages have been hacked and thrown them into disarray with bogus pages being set up by provocateurs. Naughty. Also, a Facebook statement from This Is The People And The People Want Answers is demanding information from the EDL leadership which has been posted and subsequently deleted – although it is here (Urban 75).

It is a demand for clarification on numerous issues, primarily the money. There are questions over the whereabouts of the ‘Stoke Damage fund,’ the money for the Snowy and Leon defence fund as well as the money that was raised and then refused by the Soldiers Off Our Streets charity. They do not mention the money raised for ‘political prisoner’ Richard Price who was arrested for crack and cocaine possession as well as the not insignificant matter of child pornography. The EDL block is fragmenting: after the Blackburn brawl the North West and North East Infidels set up as rival groups and are competing with March For England and English Nationalist Alliance for membership and spoils. Caxley-Trousers, ‘Cocaine’ Kev Carol and Guramit Singh have all been very quiet and we all await their statements as the situation increasingly spins out of control. Where’s the money Tommy?

These wouldn’t be the same kind of powers that can easily be deflected by aluminium foil, would it?

  10. FLAEDO says:

But Andy its rude to point, a wave in the general direction of ADL man will suffice. Whilst its true a lot of the EDL/ADL supporters are lower or working class there are some who can mix it with you intellectual high achievers. Notwithstanding your mocking even those who received less in the brain area have some kind of right to freedom of expression and freedom of assembly. In short there is no reason why ADL supporters shouldnt be allowed to express their views… at a rally in Fed Square or anywhere else. That you and other professional student types (development ceased at age 18 or thereabouts) are attempting to intimidate ADL supporters here and elsewhere online is unfortunate. You and people like you maintain the deceit that you are tolerant but it doesnt take much for the real you to pop out and introduce itself. Whether or not the ADL’s cause has any merit ought to be argued on the facts – but youre not interested in facts so why dont you just stay away on Sunday. But then youre in it for the “sport” arent you. That wasnt really a question btw.

I respectfully suggest you hurriedly employ a skin care regime to whittle away some of those years and then its maybe possible that someone might mistake you for your mental age (if there is an unscheduled all day solar eclipse Sunday) but wait I shouldnt demean eighteen year olds.

  11. Australian Defense League 732 says:

Well folks… this is the *aftermath* of the big day out at Fed Square. I’ve checked all my bodily parts and functions and all is ok in ADL land.

I guess some cretin from the outer limits who was there will put together a stunningly glowing report about how the ‘Anti Fascists’ DROVE the ADL racists out of Fed Square.

Hey… full credit where credit is due… *they did*.

We had around 20 people I guess, some of them… er “colorful” to say the least. The 200+ ‘anti fascists’ though oh my… what a weird mob of psychos they were. If you dangle a ‘fact’ in front of them they would still say black was white and white was black. But you blokes who were there… seriously, you need deep help. The utter base primal HATRED most were spewing was a real eyeopener.

As they chanted “Muslims [Are] Welcome Racists [Are] Not”… haha… we said “Cool… that’s OUR chant too…” so we joined them!!! This almost produced total confusion on their side.

For those who happened to notice, my poster received considerable positive public attention, as it was directed toward passersby. They saw the ‘4 Faces of Australia’ with the ADL lettering “Maori, White, Aboriginal, Asian” and while these morons in the background are raving and ranting about “racists” the public got the message and just smiled.
I have to tell you blessed helpers this bit though… after all the ‘commies’ went home or continued chasing ADL folks up Swanston St, I had a very cordial conversation with one of the Muslim blokes who had joined the chants. Some Muslim girls (who had already said they WANT Sharia law) asked if they could video me and the bloke for a comedy they are doing. We put each other’s arms around the other for the ‘friendly’ shot… and then we did a mock ‘fight’ for the ‘enemies’ shot… keep your eyes on YouTube 🙂

Next time we must be sure to TELL you all where we’ll be so you can come along and draw so much extra attention for us… man… today was a blast.
