Little Rich Working Class Oi Boy

How come skinhead oi boys have no work
I bet if they did they’d go berserk
Shut up about the working class
A job is no big deal
You all look like Hitler Youth – good job
That’s some appeal

You oi-boys and oi-girls have quite the scene
At shows you love to gang up and get mean
The ones I know were racist then
But that’s all in the past
Excuse my not believing you
It’s happened much too fast

Little rich working class oi boy
Little rich working class oi boy
Little rich working class oi boy

You look and act and talk like Nazi goons
If you truly cared you’d change your tune
The aura you exude tells everyone just how you feel
I don’t buy your bullshit boys
Sorry, there’s no deal

For DC.

Andrew Fraser “sorry” for racist remarks…

…the fucking liar.

‘Academic sorry for racist remarks’
Alyssa Braithwaite
August 30, 2006
[AAP]

A SYDNEY academic who created a racial furore by claiming African refugees were linked to high crime rates has apologised for his comments.

Macquarie University Associate Professor Andrew Fraser sparked the racial controversy in June last year when his letter making the remarks was published in local newspaper, the Parramatta Sun.

The university subsequently suspended him from teaching after he made further comments about Sudanese refugees and non-white immigration.

Safi Hareer from the Sudanese Darfurian Union sought a public apology from… Fraser in a complaint to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC), saying the academic’s letter had breached the Racial Discrimination Act.

[Fraser] received a letter from HREOC president John von Doussa in April saying his comments were unlawful, and rejecting the professor’s submission that the letter held academic merit.

Mr von Doussa invited [Fraser] to a HREOC conciliation with Mr Hareer, urging him to apologise for the letter.

At the time [Fraser] said an apology “was out of the question”.

But Mr Hareer’s lawyer, George Newhouse, said [Fraser] had apologised to his client and the matter had been settled.

A public apology will also be published in the Parramatta Sun newspaper today.

“After mediation, [Fraser] agreed to apologise to Mr Hareer and to the Sudanese community in Australia,” Mr Newhouse said.

Mr Newhouse said [Fraser] had acknowledged that he had hurt fellow Australians.

“Andrew Fraser has apologised for his hurtful statements and Safi Hareer has accepted his apology,” he said.

“(Mr Hareer) was really pleased that two people with different views could sit down and discuss and resolve their differences in a human way, man to man.

“All credit to [Fraser] for apologising, and I’m glad it was done without going to court because really, no-one wants to do that.”

[Fraser] could not be contacted last night.

Not unexpectedly, news of Fraser’s ‘apology’ has been greeted on Scumfront, Fraser’s strongest supporter, with some dismay — and this appraisal by James Newman, the bonehead who videoed the Cronulla riots, added a Skrewdriver soundtrack, then uploaded it to the site:

As [Fraser] said at the [Sydney Forum]… He apologized for hurting any thin-skinned people who may have been offended [by his remarks,] but still believes that importing [sic] large numbers of blacks to Australia is a sure fire way [to] increase… crime and other social problems. [This] they can[‘]t deny because it is the truth[.] That[‘]s why they never took him to court because they knew they would lose. [Fraser] said they could do what they liked with the apology[,] but there is no way he would [pay] to have it printed in the media.

This is nothing but spin from that dog Newhouse.

As usual, the bonehead in question gets it arse-backwards: if Fraser “apologized”, it was likely because he estimated that, if it went to court, he would lose. Still, the bonehead’s account is useful if for no other reason than it demonstrates the (in)sincerity of Fraser’s “apology”.

Further, the fact is Fraser has been very active since June 2005, the date of publication of his racist letter to the Parramatta Sun, reportedly a result of Fraser’s “…seeing a photograph of a Sudanese child” in the paper. “Associate Professor Fraser wrote to the newspaper saying ‘an expanding black population is a sure-fire recipe for increases in crime, violence and a wide range of other social problems’.”

Indeed, according to the Canadian-born Fraser in an interview with Ray Martin on ACA (July 17, 2005), the ‘typical’ Australian is and should be “the sun-bronzed, blonde, blue-eyed Aussie. That is what brought me down here. That is what, I would say, brought many people down here, the belief that what was really attractive about Australia, was that it was populated by [sun-bronzed, blonde, blue-eyed] Australians”.

Soon afterwards, Fraser’s membership of and status as ‘legal adviser’ to the (now largely defunct) Patriotic Youth League (PYL) were exposed (‘Top academic accused of neo-Nazi links’, The Australian, July 20, 2005); his lying protestations to the contrary undermined by Melbourne resident Luke Connors of the PYL. One measure of Connors’ character may be found in the same email in which Fraser’s status was revealed: “Mr Connors said he had conducted an online poll asking PYL members to identify the most troublesome minority in their area: ‘abos, curry munchers, wogs or chinks?'”.

Following his refusal to have his contract bought out by the University (Fraser was due to retire in June this year) and then being suspended from teaching duties, Fraser had his essay ‘Rethinking the White Australia Policy’ — Fraser’s Big Idea is a return to a White Australia — rejected by Deakin University for inclusion in the Deakin Law Review.

Denounced as a racist and a shoddy academic, as a show of support for Fraser, the fascist Australia First Party (of which the PYL was its nominal youth wing) organised a rally on October 8th, 2005 outside Kirribilli House. Led by the neo-Nazi criminal Dr. James Saleam, AFP could only manage to attract a handful of protesters: the bulk of Fraser’s support was generated by racists and fascists on sites such as Scumfront. Still, one good turn deserves another, and in February 2006, Fraser travelled to Virginia in the United States to address the White supremacist 2006 American Renaissance Conference.

After having been informed in April 2006 by HREOC that, in their opinion, his original letter was illegal, Fraser declared that he was unwilling to ‘apologise’. According to Greg Roberts (‘No apology for linking Africans to crime’, The Australian, April 4, 2006):

In a landmark ruling that raises fresh questions about the limits to which academics can engage in public debate, HREOC chairman John von Doussa has found Professor Fraser’s comments were unlawful because they amounted to a “sweeping generalisation” that was not backed by research…

But Professor Fraser told The Australian he would not apologise to anyone.

“Even those who disagree with me should be appalled at this attack on the freedom of academic debate”,” he said.

“This gives the lie to all those politicians who’ve claimed that racial hatred legislation would not curb freedom of expression in Australia”.

After having denied the offer of a free ticket to one of Rain Pryor’s performances at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Fraser accepted the opportunity to cite the convicted neo-Nazi criminal Ben Weerheym in his essay ‘Rethinking the White Australia Policy’.

Finally, last weekend Fraser addressed the fascist Sydney Forum, an address which may, in turn, have been a way of saying ‘thanks’ to AFP following their ‘action’ in support of Fraser at the Sydney office of George Newhouse on July 26.

And now he’s sorry?

Bulldog Spirit @ Wasted Festival, Melbourne, September 2nd, 2006

To be a Skinhead, you must love your Doc Martens. You must love ska music. You must have the right attitude, the right attitude from the heart and the brain. You must like football. You must like to dance harder than anybody else, of any subculture. And most of all, you need to be anti-racist.

Well it’s no big secret that I’m into scooters.

April 1, 2005. Interview with Fiona : aussieskins :

Doug : I met some of those “SHARP” kids in Missing Link and they didn’t have a problem with us. In fact they apologised for fighting during our set at the punk’s picnic…

The only people that really gave us shit were those oh-so open-minded PC crusty types at the picnic… as soon as we got up on the stage at the punk’s picnic they started shouting stuff out at us like ‘Smash the Nazis’ and all this type of crap. I think we got discriminated against because we wash and have jobs and haircuts…

But seriously, Melbourne is the only place we’ve been to where any of that political crap has gone on.

Saturday, April 27, 2002. Bulldog Spirit Melbourne Tour Diary :

Doug : “When we played Dirty Ol’ Town, Adam says, in the height of good humour, ‘this one’s for Ulster’ as I’m doing the harmonica intro…” Man then asks Doug what Adam means. “I told him there was nothing to it”; obviously it was a remark made at complete random. Same man then asks ‘Why do you have to be such a fucking girl?’

I asked him ‘Did you just call me a girl?’ He said ‘yes’, so I responded accordingly with a quick headbutt to the nose… The sad thing about it is, someone said that the Ulster bloke’s mate was the guitarist from Vicious Circle. Along with Depression and Civil Dissident, they are one of my favourite Aussie bands and I was looking forward to playing with them at the picnic. No hard feelings there I hope.

Sunday, April 28, 2002. Bulldog Spirit Melbourne Tour Diary :

Back to the Birmingham

It seems the [bonehead] contingent all waited until today to see Bulldog Spirit. BHK played first today, unfortunately to a pretty empty room… Bulldog Spirit played next and the room filled out a bit as the [bones] came in to watch. Rotten played after us and I reckon they were even better than at the picnic. I’m really impressed with this band. Kind of ’85 style chaos punk done really well. The [bones] asked James from Rotten if they could play a couple of ‘apolitical’ songs. Ideologically James was very much opposed, but in reality he didn’t really have much choice as they pretty much outnumbered everyone in the room. The boys, Bail Up!, played some solid sounding Oi style tunes including a Last Resort and a 4 Skins cover before diverting from their ‘apolitical’ stand and launching into full blown white power stuff.

Monday, April 29, 2002. Bulldog Spirit Melbourne Tour Diary :

We went back to the Arthouse to pick up our gear, pay up, and leave. The guy at the Arty said that he got a phone call at 3am on Sunday morning saying that there were twenty blokes coming to get us and that he’d better let them in. The guy told them that we were at a party so they didn’t bother showing. Talk about a storm in a teacup.

‘I hate quoting bands to make a point, but Roddy Moreno summed it up pretty well’:

To close I’d just like to say:

FUCK FASCISM BEFORE IT FUCKS YOU.

STAY S-H-A-R-P.

Bulldog Spirit will be playing this Saturday at The Espy between 7.40 – 8.10 in The Gershwin Room.

The following bands will happily be sharing the stage with them:

PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES, BEERZONE, NO IDEA, THE BLURTERS, CHARTER 77, MARCHING ORDERS, THE BLACK MARKET, THE CORPS, DRAGSTRIPPERS, HATEMAIL, SCHLAUNCHER, CHAOS 69, RULE 303 and THE TWITS, CRACKWHORE, BASTARD SQUAD, PISS CHRIST, THE HOMICIDES, DISTORTED TRUTH, GODNOSE, HEAD INC., RITALIN, SLICK 46, RUN FOR COVER, UNEMPLOYED SUPER VILLIANS, DARKEST DAY and R.U.S.T.

Ask Uncle Noam!

The Independent has published Chomsky’s responses to a number of questions put to him by readers. A sample:

The first victims of the Communist oppression in Cuba were anarchists, so how can you, as a confessed Libertarian Socialist (Anarchist?) justify ideologically your uncritical visit in October 2003 to dictator Fidel Castro? CLAUDE MOREIRA, WELLING, LONDON

The “uncritical visit” is a fabrication of British editors. As they knew, I was an invited speaker (along with prominent British and American scholars) at an international conference of the society of Latin American scholars, which happened to meet that year in Havana, and used the opportunity to criticise state repression quite harshly on Cuban national TV and in a public meeting. Castro routinely met attendees. I’ve often actually met high officials of countries that have carried out incomparably worse crimes than anything attributed to Castro, even travelled to meet them, unlike this case: the US, to take the most obvious example.

Will Anarchism ever be taken seriously as a political philosophy? IAN DUNT

That’s up to us.

Collingwood!

Round 21, the second last round of the season, and I can report with unbridled satisfaction that Collingwood spanked Carlton with their soon-to-be-acquired wooden spoon.

Such, such are the joys…

COLLINGWOOD 4.5 13.8 20.10 24.12 (156)
Carlton 7.1 11.4 17.7 17.10 (112)
Goals: Collingwood: A Rocca 6 C Egan 3 S Rusling 2 A Didak 2 B Holland 2 S Burns 2 B Johnson 2 R Lonie P Licuria R Shaw N Maxwell H Shaw.
Best: Collingwood: A Didak D Swan B Johnson A Rocca J Fraser S Burns.
Umpires: J Schmitt C Kamolins D Goldspink.
Crowd: 57,719 at MCG.

In even better news for the Mighty Magpies, Alan Didak was tonight cleared of a charge of making a damaging head-high bump on Carlton’s Heath Scotland.

Above : Lacking focus, Carlton players Eddie Betts and Brendan Fevola express their upset at the memory of wooden spoons in 2002 and 2005… and at the prospect of a third in 2006!

Let’s Get Wasted

Speaking of Blood & Honour, the Wasted Festival next weekend features a range of exciting local (Pisschrist) and overseas (Peter & The Test Tube Babies) punk bands.

It also features Bulldog Spirit, fronted by a bloke called Doug (who previously played with Forward Defence). Oddly enough, another bloke called ‘Doug’ sings for Blood Red Eagle (BRE) (the two seem to have taken the name, removed the river, and replaced it with a shirt). And while BRE may not have been invited onto the Wasted Festival stage, they are playing at the Ian Stuart Memorial Gig on September the 23rd.

This is not the first time BRE have ventured to Melbourne to play the ISD Memorial Gig either. In 2004, the band played with Death’s Head and the Bully Boys. One bonehead describes the Boys’ performance like this:

Next was the band that we had all been waiting to see and we weren’t disappointed!! The Bully Boys!! They played an awesome set, with tunes like Jigrun and Fire Up the Ovens. A few of the lads had gotten hold of some Jew[‘]s yarmulke and took a light to it and handed it to Scott while he was singing Six Million More! Seeing that burn to the tune of that song was brilliant. What a showman!

In 2003, BRE played with Bail Up!, Death’s Head, Fortress and Ravenous. Sharing the stage with Bulldog Spirit will be over 25 other punk bands… who really mean it, maaan.

    Blood Red Eagle :

…There is not too much of a scene anymore. We play gigs here and there but there is no real crowd. Down in Melbourne there is a bit of a following. A lot of the Blood and Honour guys down there. They enjoy our stuff and we like to play to the lads down there when we get the chance to. But the good thing is over here people don’t take themselves as seriously. Like it’s still very serious stuff but we can all kinda mix together most of the time. It’s a pretty good thing to be a part of but we really need some more faces and bands…

    Bulldog Spirit :

…[In 2002] we played this punk’s picnic in a park in some shithole junkie suburb of Melbourne called Footscray (where Romper Stomper was filmed). Our set got cut short after three or four songs due to brawling. The girlfriend of the bloke that put it on freaked out and made us stop. I don’t know what the story was there, but the Melbourne scene is very divided… more like tribal. There’s SHARP skins and Redskins and Blood and Honour skins and chaos punks and crusty punks and fruity new school hardcore kids… They don’t seem to play together too well.

Time will tell.

The Perils of Multiculturalism

The combined efforts of the The Aboriginal Industry, The Homintern, The International Communist Conspiracy, The Multicultural Lobby, The Pink Mafia and ZOG (utilising KGB Gold), have singularly failed to prevent the 2006 Sydney Forum from taking place. Champagne Anarchists and Chardonnay Socialists expressed bitter disappointment at their inability to destroy Free Speech and help keep The White Man down.

On a brighter note, apart from the cancellation of a number of speakers — and the AFP‘s decision to keep the location of the first day a ‘secret’Agent Gerbil, posing as a journalist, managed to take this revealing snapshot of someone experts at ZOG HQ believe is the SURPRISE SYRIAN SPEAKER who addressed ON MIDDLE EAST CRISIS.

Colorless green ideas sleep furiously

‘Unusual sentence in racial attack’
Maria Cramer
Boston Globe
August 26, 2006

The scion of a prominent North Shore family avoided jail time yesterday for beating two black teenagers with a metal baton in 2002, but a judge imposed unusual consciousness-raising conditions on the young man for what prosecutors had called a racially motivated assault…

After beating the teenagers, Spaulding pissed off to Europe (Amsterdam) a la Ross Hack, but then — unlike Hack(?) — returned in 2003. His sentence?

Josiah Spaulding III… must remove his tattoos with racist symbols, visit the African Meeting House on Beacon Hill and the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., and do 200 hours of community service at the Pine Street Inn, a homeless shelter in the city, or at a veterans’ shelter. He also faces five years of probation.

Meanwhile, in Moscow:

‘Russian Racist Jailed For 16 Years For Killing of Peruvian’
Agence France Presse
August 25, 2006

A Russian white supremacist gang leader was sentenced Friday to 16 years’ prison over the brutal murder of a Peruvian student last year in what analysts said was a sign of determination to halt a wave of hate crimes in the country.

The court said that Igor Pavlyuk led a gang of youths in the attack last October on the Peruvian student in Voronezh, a city popular with foreign students southeast of Moscow.

Eleven other members of the gang received sentences of up to five years, some of them suspended, the court in Voronezh told AFP in a telephone interview. One more suspect was acquitted.

Earlier Friday, the court ruled that the slaying of Enrique Angeles Hurtado, 18, had been motivated by racial hatred, underlining what officials say is a growing problem of racist and neo-Nazi skinhead attacks on foreigners in the country.

Three other people — a Peruvian, a Russian and a Spaniard — were hospitalised for their injuries in the October 9 attack by a gang of local youths.

The gang savagely beat the four victims and Hurtado was stabbed eight times before he died from loss of blood.

The trial of 13 suspects was being watched closely as a test of the legal authorities’ willingness to hand down stern punishments for violent attacks by Russian citizens on foreigners, crimes that have often been dismissed as acts of “hooliganism”.

The most high-profile victims have been dark-skinned foreign students, often from Africa, including a Senegalese man shot dead in Saint Petersburg by a neo-Nazi in April. However, many others are immigrants from ex-Soviet Central Asia or the Caucasus, often working as builders or traders.

Alexander Verkhovsky, at the Sova analytical centre in Moscow, which monitors xenophobia across the country, welcomed Friday’s sentencing as “just.”

“It was important that the motives of the crime were declared. If this was done all the time, at every trial, people would begin to feel the effect. In principal, there is a momentum building to that.”

Mohammad Khammal, head of the Voronezh Foreign Students’ Association, also said he was satisfied.

The sentence “showed that our prosecutor and our court can adequately address these kinds of cases. In Saint Petersburg, we only hear ‘hooliganism’,” he said. “Sixteen years is a very significant term.”

“Of course this won’t bring our friend back, but I’m personally satisfied with a term of 16 years.”

The Voronezh court ruled that the convicted men were part of organisations known as White Patrol and Vityaz “whose aim was fighting with representatives of non-Slavic ethnic groups,” ITAR-TASS reported.

Such violent racist groups are especially active in Russia’s capital Moscow and the second city of Saint Petersburg.

On Monday, a bomb at a multi-ethnic market in Moscow killed 10 people, with the death of an 11th victim announced Friday.

Three Moscow students [boneheads] have been arrested and charged with carrying out the bombing, and two of them have admitted to targeting the market because of its largely Asian workforce, the Moscow prosecutor said this week.

According to Sova, 31 people have been killed and 264 injured in racist attacks in Russia so far this year.

Verkhovsky said that police were more active in trying to stem the problem than previously. However, “radical nationalism is just the tip of the iceberg consisting of mass xenophobia.”

And finally, in Berlin, nervous times ahead for Welf Herfurth’s former party the neo-Nazi National Democratic Party (NPD), as parties prepare for elections. But as his role as MC at this weekend’s Sydney Forum might suggest:

The [far-right] parties have little hope of making serious inroads anytime soon, however. That’s why they are focused on what Glaessner calls “cultural infiltration.” They start clubs and holds events to attract young people, with organizers often not initially identifying themselves as NPD or DVU.

The parties target areas of the former East Germany where unemployment is high and most of the motivated and educated have migrated away. The population left behind is largely young, male, uneducated and angry. Ironically, since all parties in Germany receive money from the state, NPD and DVU are partially publicly funded.

Kaneko Fumiko Is My Hero Too!

Korean television viewers will have the chance to watch a drama highlighting the life of Kaneko Fumiko, a Japanese female resistance fighter and anarchist who planned an assassination attempt on Hirohito, then the crown prince, in September 1923…

Kaneko Fumiko, a lover of fellow anarchist Park Y[e]ol, a fellow Korean independence activist, was one of few Japanese citizens who betrayed [sic] her homeland and sided with the Korean independence movement during the Japanese occupation of the Korean peninsula.

Progressives in Japan and Korea have long studied Kaneko’s life. Her political activism came to an end when she was arrested for the assassination attempt on Hirohito, which was plotted with Park Yol. The Japanese judiciary protracted her trial for three years; during the trial, Kaneko and Park justified their assassination attempt instead of trying to make excuses, which often turned the courtroom into a verbal battleground…

Above : Fujin, “Japanese Anarchist Women’s Magazine”

For more on Kaneko, see Hélène Bowen Raddeker, ‘Resistance to Difference: Sexual Equality and its Law-ful and Out-law (Anarchist) Advocates in Imperial Japan’, Intersections, No.7, March 2002; on ‘The Anarchist Movement in Japan’ read John Crump… and cheer as anarchists in Japan shout “No Nukes! No War! No Government!” while others — including President Koizumi — pray for peace on Hiroshima Day, 2006.

Blut und Ehre : Melbourne ISD Memorial Gig : September 23rd, 2006

They shouldn’t be driving day or night
They can’t think left, they can only think right
The sun reflects off their bald head
Like Ian Stuart they’re going to wind up dead

Nazis… shouldn’t drive (their cars)

They should’ve paid attention in driver’s ed
Instead of hating foreigners, queers and reds
Keep your eyes on the highway you loser thug
Now you’re squished on the highway like a bug

Ian, Ian, “King of the Pit”, no friend to you or me
Aaaaaaaaaaaah! Watch out for that tree!

Next month, on September 23rd, the Australian franchise of the neo-Nazi international bonehead network Blood & Honour will be holding a gig somewhere in Melbourne to commemorate the death of B&H founder, Ian Stuart Donaldson, in 1993. Donaldson — more commonly known as ‘Ian Stuart’ — was born on the 11th of August 1958 in Poulton-Le-Fylde, near Blackpool in Lancashire. He was educated at Baines Grammar School, talked a lot of racist shit, then died on the 24th of September 1993 in a car crash.

The annual ISD memorial gig is one of few semi-public events organised by the handful of boneheads who form the core of B&H, but the gig itself is reported to attract as many as 1-200 boneheads from all over the country. (The boneheads’ last gig was at the Hamilton Hotel in Newcastle, NSW, on the 25th of February.)

While MDC ridiculed Donaldson’s death with their song Nazis Shouldn’t Drive — as did FYP with their song Ian Stuart as a Crash Test Dummy — the three local bands advertised as playing at the gig are not expected to be doing cover versions. Instead, the three — Bail Up!, Blood Red Eagle and Ultraviolence — are more likely to be singing the praises of being White and manly. Viking ships, convict blood, the evils of Communism and the duplicitousness of Jewry are other common motifs.

Actually, Blood Red Eagle’s lyrics are to boneheadedness what poetry is to Dolly: painful and funny at the same time. The boys have written many many great songs, so here’s just a sample:

From Eye of the Storm:

A state of emergency, living inside hell
You see but you don’t understand and no-one sounds the bell

Ding ding!

From Blood Red Eagle:

Now return to the ground in a world of pain and regret
With a scarlet Blood Red Eagle, carved upon your chest!

Pain.

Regret.

Blood Red Eagle.

(Makes sense.)

From Warrior:

We make our stand against the reds
‘cause those bastards don’t make no sense

Then again, bastards like Douglas (vocals) — with his fetish for all things ‘Viking’ — and Damien (vocals, Bail Up!) — spending almost 40 hours under the needle — don’t really make a whole lot more.

Plus, their music’s shit.

[NB. The other notable bonehead car crash casualty is Violent Storm: they were sadly unable to appear at the B&H festival on the 14th of March 1992, in Valencia, Spain, as only one member survived a crash on the way to Heathrow Airport. To catch their flight | Blood Red Eagle have played with Blasting Process, Changeover, Charter 77, Creeping Jesus, Demolition Highstyle, Exhibit A, Out of Order, Thoughtcrime, Unclean and World War XXIV | Local NSBM bands include Abyssic Hate, Destroyer 666, Gospel of the Horns, Raven’s Wing and Spear of Longinus.]
