In London, some dirty, filthy squatters — fuckwits, bums, lowlifes and almost certainly anarchist faggots — are continuing to get away with murder by occupying an empty property legally belonging to someone else! Even The Age has been forced to sit up and take notice of this scandal:
Squatters have taken over a house at the centre of rort revelations, Karla Adam reports from London.
Of course, the very worst aspect of this attack upon one of the cornerstones of Western Civilization has been the response of locals. According to Karla:
Far from shunning them as trespassers and troublemakers, neighbours appear to have greeted the squatters as white knights who aren’t afraid to shake a fist at a system many people contend has failed.
More than 150 local people have visited the house, the squatters say, offering not just moral support, but also a barbecue, a camper stove, mugs of tea, balloons, blankets, boxes of Chinese food, two deckchairs, trays of beer, a bottle of whisky, a small table and space in nearby heated houses should Britain’s current heatwave recede.
“Take this,” said Rod de St Croix, thrusting a bottle of wine at Mr Baker. “I can’t squat. I’ve got a family and kids and a job, but you’re doing it for me. Good on you.”
Ian Speed, a 46-year-old accountant, sauntered over with a tray of chocolate biscuits.
“I originally voted for Ann Keen,” he says. “But now I’m just appalled by all this second-house stuff.”
Has the world gone mad?
Obviously, Great Britain isn’t so great anymore (especially with all them foreign scum taking British jobs). In which case it could do a lot worse than follow the example of the former British penal colony known as Australia, and abolish any legal status for squatters. This would make the job of evicting the sub-humans from their so-called ‘homes’ a lot easier; it would have the added advantage of warehousing the poors in forms of accommodation befitting their social status — slums — while at the same time allow hardworking businessman to better enjoy the fruits of their back-breaking labour — say, by buying a luxury powerboat, or something. This expenditure would, in turn, greatly assist The Economy, which from all accounts has been feeling a little down recently. Even better, a serious crackdown on squatting in Great Britain would not require the genocidal conquest of an entire continent — a task which, despite over two centuries of hard yakka, is still not complete. (Although recent reports provide much encouragement.)

Inquiries into a suspected right-wing bombing plot in Britain stretched as far as New Zealand and Australia.
London’s Sunday Times newspaper reported a network of suspected far-right extremists with access to 300 weapons and 80 bombs had been uncovered by counter-terrorism detectives and this discovery was linked to arrests in Europe, New Zealand and Australia.
But New Zealand Police Minister Judith Collins’ office told the Dominion Post that West Yorkshire police had contacted local police some months ago asking them to investigate.
“Nothing came of it and there were no arrests,” a spokesman said.
Thirty-two people have been questioned in a police operation that raises the prospect of a right-wing bombing campaign against mosques, the Sunday Times said.
Police are said to have recovered a British National party membership card and other right-wing literature during a raid on the home of one suspect charged under the Terrorism Act.
Buggered if I know what’s going on, but obviously, having been hatched by White, non-Muslim and hugely patriotic citizens, there’s no need for the
A link, probably tenuous, may exist between these raids and attempts by European police agencies in 2008 to subvert the nutzi muzak industry.
…Denmark is to extradite two men over neo-Nazi music. According to Associated Press (October 7, 2008): “Danish authorities say two men arrested for producing and distributing neo-Nazi music in Germany will be extradited to Germany. The Justice Ministry has decided that the men — a Dane and a German — can be extradited under Danish law. The Ministry Tuesday said the men have the right to test the case before a Danish court before being extradited. The pair were arrested August 27 north of Copenhagen on a German extradition request. German investigators say the pair produced as many as 100,000 copies of neo-Nazi music under the label Celtic Moon.” Another report by Deutsche Welle states: “They are presumed to have had contact to a partner in Australia, who allegedly copied the CDs and sent them to Denmark for distribution in Europe.”
An earlier report (Frankfurt prosecutors arrest neo-Nazi music producers, The Local, August 27, 2008), states that German national Stephan G., 33, and Dane Flemming C, 32, are “also allegedly connected to the banned Werwolf Records company, which [Thorsten Heise of the German NPD] used to produce the equally illegal two-part sampler “The Germans are Coming”. The searches in Finland were targeted at managers of Werwolf, which is a reference to the Nazi underground that continued fighting after the end of WWII”.
The identity of the partner in Australia has yet to be disclosed, although there are a number of links between Werwolf and local neo-Nazis. For example, Newcastle band Blood Red Eagle is on sale at the Werwolf website, as is the band Deaths Head, Kilgore and Shatter Pattern. Blood Red Eagle and Ravenous — whose lead shouter Jesse also strained his vocal chords for the band Deaths Head — both performed at this year’s Ian Stuart Donaldson memorial gig in Beaconsfield in September. The third band on the bill was Belgian band Kill Baby Kill, who most recently achieved notoriety prancing about on stage in Redhill.
From the Department of “When B.&.H. play in our town/We’ll lock them in the venue and burn the fucker down!”
Note that ‘Ravenous’ is scheduled to perform at this year’s ISD gig in Melbourne on September 12, along with the resurrected corpse of late ’80s nutzis ‘Open Season’ and a cover band.
A forty-something boofhead called Jim shouts and plucks strings for Open Season along with another schmuck called Hilly. Among the many heavenly pop hits included on their one (and only) album ‘Frontline Fighters’ is the toe-tapping ‘Australian National Socialist’:
Seig Heil!
Other tracks on the album are ‘Frontline Fighters’, ‘It’s Time’, ‘Open Season’, ‘Invasion’, ‘Apeman’, ‘Nightrider’, ‘The Slag’, ‘Southern Comfort’, ‘New Reich’, ‘White Justice’, ‘Nigger Hunt’, ‘Kill the Poofs’ and on some versions ‘Blood Sucker’ and ‘Devil’s Guard’.
On your cover of No Remorse’s “Blood Sucker” it is said “one day the world will know that Bruce Ruxton was right”. For those who are not familiar, could you give some insight on him?
Bruce Ruxton was the president of the RSL (Returned Sevices League)… They do a lot of good for ex servicemen. At the time of recording the album … [Nelson Mandela] was released from gaol. Desmond Tutu was very outspoken at the time and was coming to Australia[.] Bruce was the only person that publicly spoke out against this black terrorist coming to Australia and openly called him a witch doctor. Bruce was massacred by the press for his views as [is anyone] who has the balls to speak out openly about non whites or the chosen race.
Curiously, the recording of ‘Frontline Fighters’ took place at approximately the same time that the leader of the Australia First Party, Dr. James Saleam, arranged for some of his boys to pay a visit to local (Sydney) black terrorist ANC spokesperson Eddie Funde and to blast a shotgun through his front door.
The case that brought National Action undone, however, came in January 1989, when Eddie Funde, Australian representative of the [ANC], had his front door shot through. Shotgun pellets were found near his child’s cradle. [NA] members Jason Frost and Michael White were arrested. They both implicated Saleam, telling the court that he had given them a balaclava, a shotgun and eight dollars each for a drink to steady their nerves. That had to be Jim, I thought on reading their story. Anyone else would have given them a fifty each.
Saleam claimed it was the political police again, trying to wreck the nationalist cause. The jury was not so persuaded and, in May 1991, Saleam was sentenced to three and a half years jail. This was his second time inside — in April 1989 he’d been sentenced to two years’ hard labour for fraud and receiving stolen property. ‘Ironically, Saleam received his sentence on the same day as the centenary of Hitler’s birth’, the Sydney Morning Herald noted.

Silly Jim! Fortunately, the RSL has made its peace with (neo-)Nazism, and offers its venues (Bexley, Eastwood) to Herr Doktor, so that he and other fascists can continue to organise. So too, Sydney’s Russian and Estonian communities: hurrah!
As for Open Season, Jim states: “we used to play quite often with Phoenix Rising and White Lightning. In Sydney we had no trouble getting gigs, however in Melbourne it was slightly more difficult… only the one time a venue cancelled us and that was when they threatened to be blown up if we played. We still played that night but in another venue.” White Lightning are of course now known as T.H.U.G., and — just as Open Season will be welcomed in Melbourne — T.H.U.G. are very welcome to play @ the East Brunswick Hotel.
A thesis on neo-Nazism and Satanism in New Zealand will be going back on Waikato University library shelves after it was cleared by the university.
In September, the thesis by master’s student Roel van Leeuwen, was removed after Kerry Bolton, former secretary of the Right-wing National Front, complained that it was substandard, despite the piece winning first-class honours.
Entitled Dreamers of the Dark: Kerry Bolton and the Order of the Left Hand Path, a Case-study of a Satanic/Neo-Nazi Synthesis, it analysed ideas published by Mr Bolton and focused on how neo-Nazi thought was repackaged for a younger generation…
Well. The power of !nataS is obviously strong in Aotearoa/New Zealand but, equally obviously, University of Waikato Vice-Chancellor Professor Roy Crawford has had resort to some powerful counter-magicks: “Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble. Cool it with a baboon’s blood, Then the charm is firm and good. And so is the thesis by Master’s student Roel van Leeuwen”. See also : Let Waikato @#$% you! German pol fined for playing klezmer music
JTA
July 2, 2009
A Dresden politician was fined for playing loud klezmer music outside City Hall to disturb a neo-Nazi march.
Stephan Kuhn of the Green Party was ordered Wednesday to pay a $210 fine, which will benefit an organization that helps victims of right-wing violence.
Neo-Nazis held a commemorative march on Feb.13, 2008, on the anniversary of the World War II firebombing of Dresden by Allied forces, which right-wing extremists have taken to calling the “bombing Holocaust.” In protest, Kuhn blasted the music at the neo-Nazis from the windows of the Green Party parliamentary fraction offices.
According to the indictment, the state prosecutor said it was proven that “loud Jewish music” was played from the window, interrupting a speech that a neo-Nazi was trying to deliver. Kuhn, the state said, thus interfered with the right to free assembly.
Kuhn said he did not regret his actions. “If I was able to stop the flow of brown [Nazi] verbal muck, I am more than willing to accept the payment of a fine,” he told reporters.
Reportedly, in a similar case in 2006, a state prosecutor in Mittenberg, in the former west German state of Baden-Württemberg, dismissed charges against a Catholic priest who rang church bells during a neo-Nazi gathering in the local marketplace.
The members of the far-right National Democratic Party of Germany were unable to continue their rally and filed suit.
We are not the wackos, we are the “enlightened ones”!
The paranoid wackos of this seedy West London tenement had one thing in common — the conviction that Jews, Freemasons, homosexuals, Gypsies, Jesuits, anarchists and Communist Party members were all agents of subversion under the control of a ruthless global elite directing world events to their advantage…
Readers,
The Sydney Forum — in addition to the Inverell Forum, Australia’s largest (rather small) annual gathering of the far right — is, after a one-year absence, taking place again in September (26/27). This is exciting news for trainspotters, especially as the announcement by Dr James Saleam of this world-historical event (on the world’s leading anti-Semitic/White supremacist website Stormfront) has prompted former Thales employee Nicole Hanley to once again jump on her nutzi high-horse:

PS. Hello to those who remember me… yes I’m still alive…
And remember folks, as Ms Hanley stated in regards to her belief in ZOG: ‘We are not the wackos, we are the “enlightened ones”‘ (December 12, 2006).
NB. Nicole also has some fashion tips for other ladies wanting to spend a weekend with fellow fascists: “The top hat should be silk but we do allow beaver now. You always have a bun and if your hair isn’t long enough for a bun you put on a fake bun, then you’ve got the veil over your face. It’s a severe look but that’s what makes it elegant.”
Author! Author!
As in previous years, as guest speakers 2009 brings to Sydney the usual suspects. Well, two of them anyway: James ‘110% White’ Saleam and Andrew ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ Fraser. Also scheduled to speak is John ‘911 Was An Inside Job!’ Bursill, and a mystery speaker from the United States. Sadly, Forum organisers “can’t release the names and details of some of our speakers as the system and other “democratic” and liberal democratic forces will do anything to stop them from participating in this even[t]. In the past invited speakers were intimidated and even prevented from entering Australia by the system to prevent them addressing the Sydney Forum.”
As far as I’m aware this is a reference to attempts in 2002 and 2005 to have as guests at the Forum speakers from the German fascist party NPD (the National Democratic Party of Germany / Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands): Udo Voigt and Holger Apfel [sic] Gerd Finkenwirth. On both occasions, entry to Australia was denied them by Immigration authorities on the basis that they were not of ‘good character’.

Sydney Forum 2008: CANCELLED
In general, speakers are veterans of the far right, and closely associated with either the Australian League of Rights, Australia First Party (NSW), One Nation Party, one of their numerous predecessors (Confederate Action Party, National Action) or more obscure rivals. A handful of younger fascists — Lachlan Black, Luke Connors, Stuart McBeth — have also joined their older comrades in the last few years. All three were involved in the yoof group Patriotic Youth League, an unsuccessful attempt on Dr. Jim’s part to lower AF’s demographic.
Otherwise, the Forum has attracted a handful of single-issue advocates (Robert Osmak on homeschooling; Bonny Baeur — a Senatorial candidate for the Democrats in Queensland the same year she spoke to fascists in Sydney — on food safety; June Weston/Bevan O’Regan on ‘constitutional’ property rights) while some attempts have also been made to establish closer ties with local representatives of various Middle Eastern powers: Iraq and Syria in particular. Perhaps the most controversial speaker of late was Palestinian solidarity activist Rihab Charida. Her speech prompted one listener — a ferret-breeding racist from NSW — to remark “She would have been of much better use as a mud flap for my car”; a rather remarkable insight into racist psychosis, and a mark of the moral caliber of those attracted to this event.
Obviously, the Forum has experienced some ups and downs over the last decade. From 2005–2007 it had problems securing a venue, with the second day of the action-packed weekend being forced to take place @ (Dr.) Jim’s Bunker in Tempe. The Tempe bunker was formerly the Sydney HQ of defunct fascist groupuscule ‘National Action’ (which Saleam led until his jailing in 1991) and also the site of a grisly murder:
…[NA] began working its way down the enemies list, widening their attacks from vulnerable students and the occasional journalist to gays, lesbians, Aboriginal, peace and anti-apartheid groups, academics, liberal congregations such as the Pitt Street Uniting Church, the Anti-discrimination Board, union activists and, somewhat recklessly, a couple of Special Branch cops who had been assigned to their case. Terrorising the wives and families of heavily armed secret policemen was not the Nazis’ first step on the happy staircase to success. After [NA] raided the meeting of a gay migration lobby group the hammer came down.
Having suffered through months of harassment the gays were ready for a fight. Their resistance seemed to unnerve the storm troopers and a handful of hysterical pansies and angry dykes proceeded to bitch slap them out of the room. Special Branch quickly obtained a search warrant and charged over to a house in Petersham used as an alternative headquarters by [NA]. They found a tape recording and photographs of the raid. Most of those who took part were arrested and charged. The cases were heard in Glebe local court and attended by observers from a resistance group called Community Alert Against Racism and Violence.
‘It was unbelievably pathetic,’ said CAARAV’s Betty Hounslow. ‘Shane Rosier, one of their big men, was just this really pathetic bloke in his late forties who was, you know, a bit chubby. He wore these brown trousers that kept riding up the back and an old yukko-looking brown cardigan. They found a lot of weapons in his house… coshs, chains, and studded balls. And his story to the magistrate was that the weapons were part of his collection. He’d always been interested in weapons, he said. His grandfather was a famous gun collector. He and his dad had always wanted to have a gun collection just like old Granddad’s, but they’d never had enough money to collect guns so they had to collect cheaper, working-class weapons. And this was why he had all these things. He said the tape of the raid was left on his doorstep one morning. Like a little abandoned baby.’
The pressure told and the Nazis turned on each other as deeply repressed suspicions and rivalries burst through to the surface. Everybody seemed to accuse everyone else of being police spies and sexual deviants. The final slide into ignoble collapse was marked by the gunshot murder of Wayne ‘Bovver’ Smith in [NA’s] headquarters at Tempe a few years later. It was an almost perfect example of the hapless farce which so often attended the adventures of Sydney’s neo-Nazi elite in the 1980s. Bovver, twenty-five years old and already weighing 108 kilos thanks to the three or four stubbies of beer he’d consume for breakfast each morning, was shot eight times with a sawn-off .22 rifle by Perry Whitehouse, ten years his senior but less than half his size, during a drunken, confused and basically pointless argument. When Whitehouse blew him away, Bovver was wearing a singlet bearing the message: Say No To The New Gun Control Laws.

MC Welf
Since its inception, the Master of Race Ceremonies @ the Sydney Forum has been Welf Herfurth. A fascist militant, over the past few decades, Welf has thrown his lot into the pot with the NPD (in Germany), the Australian Democrats, One Nation Party, New Right, “National Anarchists”, Blood & Honour and Volksfront (in Australia). Thus, while maintaining close links with the neo-Nazi movement in Germany in its many and varied permutations, Herr Herfurth has, alongside of his Aryan (er) kamerad Dr. Jim, been a leading fascist ideologue Down Under. Popping an “anarchist” hat upon his head, in the last few years Welf has managed to attract a few teenage followers — their antics have been documented elsewhere on my blog.

“Advance Australia Where?”
Mark Franklin Reportage
September 10, 2004
One Nation may be a spent political force but there are still local activists with a strong nationalist agenda. Mark Franklin attends the Fourth Sydney Forum.
The wooden floor of Bexley RSL hall is polished to a high squeak. Australian flags hang above the Digger’s crest. The air smells of stale tobacco, and from behind the speaker’s podium a black and white photo of Queen Elizabeth stares down at the crowd.
Of the hundred-odd people who have gathered from the full stretch of the East Coast, all but five are men. Apart from a few Newcastle University students – members of the Patriotic Youth League – all are past middle age. They sit scattered in ones and twos throughout the hall.
Welcome to the fourth annual Sydney Forum: two days of talks by Australian patriots about modern society.
Last weekend, as Prime Minister John Howard was calling a federal election, they gathered to share their thoughts on why Australian social life is rotting from its political core. Since the glory days of One Nation, these few activists (mainly supporters of the Australia First party) have become the sole surviving nationalist voice on the political landscape.
“Governments tell you fibs,” says Terry [Worthing], first speaker of the day. “But what’s worse, you believe those fibs and you continue giving the Government all your bloody money. Then they give it to the banks and the foreign owned companies … that’s what’s wrong with this country.”
Each of the speakers is frustrated and alienated by modern Australian politics, and each offers a theory as to what went wrong. “The Jews control Australia,” says [Worthing]. “Multiculturalism is destroying our country”, says Andrew [or possibly John] Wilson. “The multinationals have taken hold of our lives,” says Neil Baird.
Most of the speakers are retired blue-collar workers. Their clothes are a generation old and they speak with stilted, twangy accents. The forum’s organizer, Dr Jim Saleam, is one of the few who has been to university. He received a doctorate from Sydney University for his thesis on the right wing of Australian politics.
“The genius of the modern state that we live under,” he says, “is that its tentacles run much more strongly – through advertising, through the media, through consumerism, through the way we live our lives – it’s more integrated than it ever was before.”
Dr Saleam paints a truly Orwellian picture of modern life. The state, he says, is a “machine by which one group of people keeps another group of people out of power. It is comprised of politicians, the media, the judicial system, and the multinational companies.”
In one sense, his views could be seen to overlap with the “Trotskyite left” (as he calls it) but when it comes to the question of multiculturalism, there is an insurmountable point of difference. He is proudly opposed to Australian cultural diversity.
“This belief that different cultures can live together in the same place is false,” he says. “It takes an enormous amount of effort for culturally different groups to get along. Sure, you can make it work, through laws, through policing, through a lot of effort. But in the end it’s an artificial harmony and it has to break down.”
This brand of nationalist believes each country should have its own identity, its own culture, its own ethnic population, and the nationality of each country should be homogeneous. Mexicans in Mexico, Chinese in China, Australians in Australia.
Australian nationalists see their heritage as being strictly European in origin. At the back of the forum, display tables carry booklets such as The Poems of Banjo Patterson and Arthur Calwell: A Great Australian. Federation flags hang from the walls, and there’s a pile of stickers reading: “Mass immigration = water restrictions.” (Go figure!)
Stuart McBeth, founder of the Patriotic Youth League (PYL) says: “We are distinct in culture and direction from our Asian neighbours in the South Pacific”. The gravest threat facing Australia today, he says, is “the divisive and socially destructive concept of multiculturalism.”
Recently, the press has attacked the PYL over a supposed “race-hate” campaign at Newcastle University and it has accused McBeth of links to various neo-Nazi groups, labelling him a “white supremacist”.
But the PYL is so haphazardly organised it can barely link arms, let alone link with groups on the other side of the world. And McBeth is no more a white supremacist than Pauline Hanson. He’s a softly spoken, bespectacled economics student who works for the Salvation Army. “We’re not racists,” he says. “We don’t think we’re better than anybody else just because we’re white, but we do have a right to protect our way of life.”
Note that the bespectacled McBeth also attempted to establish a Volksfront franchise in Australia in 2002; an effort now being pursued by Welf Herfurth. Stuart resigned from his position as PYL President in January 2005 (to be replaced by Lachlan Black; Black being replaced by Luke Connors; Connors being replaced by John Drew) after being sacked from his job working for the Salvation Army.
Whether or not nationalism equates to racism is a matter of opinion. However, the solution it offers Australia’s indigenous communities sounds remarkably like apartheid. “In one sense, Hanson was wrong”, says Dr Saleam. “You can’t have one nation, because the Aboriginal people are not part of the same nation. They are unique at the start… so therefore, you must have a different set of laws for Aboriginal people from white people.”
Dr Saleam sees this as the only fair solution. “The main emphasis would have to be on how [indigenous communities] preserve their language, their ceremonies, their history, while still giving them access to certain aspects of modernity that they desire.”
Nationalist thinking is not unique to Australia. It was fostered in Germany and Britain, where nationalist political parties now attract a significant proportion of the popular vote. It has since spread to countries as diverse as Thailand, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Yemen, and Russia.
“Nationalism is not about race, like many people would have you believe,” says Welf Herfurth, the Sydney Forum’s MC. (He talks with a thick German accent and runs the show exactly to schedule – speakers finish on the dot of their allotted time and he ensures questions are brief and to the point. “The media doesn’t call me fascist for nothing,” he quips.)
Herfurth has just completed a tour of South East Asia, promoting nationalist politics in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand. “It is about preserving unique cultures all around the world,” he says. “We have to work together to break this monopoly of American pop culture…if you go to China these days, you’ve got a Kentucky Fried Chicken in the middle of Red Square. Now that’s scary.”
Welf’s concern over ‘KFC in Red Square’ became, in late 2005, translated into an attempt to articulate the elitist and racialist ideas of the European ‘New Right’ in the context of Australia (and er, New Zealand). In the context of ‘national anarchism’ — which Welf embraced at approximately the same point — the NR provides the ‘brains’, while ‘national anarchists’ provide the ‘brawn’. Given the relative puniness of ‘national anarchism’ and ‘national anarchists’ in Australia (and er, New Zealand), Welf has more recently attempted to (re-)establish ‘Volksfront’ in Australia, in cooperation with a Novocastrian bonehead named Douglas Schott (of bonehead band ‘Blood Red Eagle’), a former supporter of Blood & Honour and the Hammerskins. For further disco, see : White nationalism v national anarchism (June 3, 2008).
The growth of multinational companies and the pervasive power of capitalist-inspired “monoculture” was a central theme at the Sydney Forum. Criticisms ranged from the real (the pervasive influence of American pop culture) to the absurd (multinational companies sucking the nutrition out of the very food we eat, reducing the working class to malnourished slaves of the capitalist system). But there was a firm belief all round that globalisation is resulting in a “new world order”.
The philosophy of the new world order, says Dr Saleam, is to gradually bring about a completely globalised world: open borders, free trade, unrestrained capitalism, and a single world Government. “It’s an open conspiracy,” he says. “It’s an arrangement conducted in full view of the public. I’m sure there are secret activities…but the fundamentals of it are argued every day in the newspapers and the parliament.”
It was because of their opposition to this new world order that Dr Saleam and his political allies campaigned so strenuously against the Iraq war. “All of the issues the so-called right is now concerned with flow through Iraq,” he says. “The rights of nations to sovereignty and to have their country the way they want it, the powerhouse of modern capitalism, the spread of American imperialism, the supremacy of the new world order – they’re all concentrated right now in Iraq.”
It may be surprising that this group, which adamantly opposes foreign immigration, is so critical of the Iraq war. At one stage, says Dr Saleam, there was a risk of the so-called right wing falling in behind the war, but he and a couple of others campaigned hard to turn opinion against it. “Iraqis should be able to have their country whichever way they want it, for better or for worse,” he says.
In a sense, this view encapsulates the modern nationalist perspective. “If I’m going to say, ‘I want my nation for my people representing my way of life,’ I’m hardly likely to say that people on the other side of the world can’t have the same, am I?” he says.
So what about Australia’s future – can the coming election help bring about change? “It’s irrelevant”, says Dr Saleam. “The major political parties are exactly the same, the new world order is well and truly ensconced in Australia. Both political parties are behind it, as is most of the population.
“In the end, Australia is in danger of simply becoming a geographical expression and, progressively, the things that we consider the Australian ethos or values will become increasingly marginalised until they disappear off the continent.
“What we need is a wakeup call”, says Dr Saleam, “some sort of political movement to spur people into action.”
Judging from the revolutionary rhetoric at the Sydney Forum, that is exactly how Dr Saleam’s nationalist allies see their role. But despite their zeal, with numbers dwindling and enemies everywhere, this greying bunch of activists seem unlikely to rouse a sleepy nation any time soon.
Dr. Jim’s ‘wakeup call’ arguably came about 15 months later, when, in December 2005 — three months after the 2005 Sydney Forum — ‘Cronulla’ happened. This proved to be a significant event; AF’s failure to capitalise upon it later provoking a split in AF. Now, in addition to a rump party in Shepparton, Saleam’s Party must compete with a new mob called the ‘Australian Protectionist Party’ (whose most recent claim to fame came by way of former Griffith (NSW) DJ Terrie-Anne Verney).

The world today seems absolutely crackers
With nuclear bombs to blow us all sky high
There’s fools and idiots sitting on the trigger
It’s depressing and it’s senseless, and that’s why…
Glenn Beck is Fox News’ resident literary critic. Recently, he has reviewed a mysterious French publication called The Coming Insurrection by some mob calling itself the ‘Invisible Committee’. As Beck, a keen historian of radical politics, notes in his review, this term naturally brings to mind both Bakunin’s writings on “invisible dictatorship” and The Committee of Public Safety (Comité de salut public) of post-Revolutionary France. In the contemporary era, however, as Marxist philosophers Mick Armstrong and Slavoj Žižek document in another forthcoming title The Secret Masters: How 40 Kiwi Anarchists Are Plotting to Destroy Western Civilization (Verso, 2009), the so-called ‘Invisible Committee’ is not a small coterie of French Bakuninists but, rather, is composed of Swedish, German and English football hooligans under the command of New Zealand terrorists, who issue orders from their London bunker.
Fearful of a rash of deaths from spontaneous human combustion caused by falling profits and mass unemployment, Beck’s review is very timely. Wearing his very special detective hat, Beck has even been able to trace the uprisings in Greece and Iceland in late 2008 to the forthcoming publication in English of the dangerous tract in question.
A speculative fiction? Perhaps. But as Beck notes in his conclusion: “I am not calling to ban this book, but you should read it to know what is coming and be ready when it does.”
While the government warns that right-wing extremists could be domestic terrorists, and The New York Times, says I could incite those crazy conservatives to violence, the extreme left is actively calling for violence!
As world economies go down the tank and unemployment continues to rise, disenfranchised people are set to explode.
The dangerous leftist book that could spark this is “The Coming Insurrection.” This is a call to arms for violent revolution, authored anonymously by a French group called the Invisible Committee who want to bring down capitalism.
This started in France and spread to countries like Greece and Iceland, where people are out of work, out of money and out of patience.
Now it’s coming here. The book comes out in English in the U.S. in August. I have one of the first English copies.
The book was written after riots in the Paris suburbs in 2005 tore the country apart, and that was before the economy really got bad. This is the anti-”Common Sense,” where I call for peaceful protest.
This is a book of revolution. Remember this is not from the right, you know the radicals that everyone is so worried about in government. This is from the far left. Let me share a bit:
“Take up arms. Do everything possible to make their use unnecessary. There is no such thing as a peaceful insurrection. Weapons are necessary.”
The French government was so freaked out they arrested nine people believed to have written “The Coming Insurrection” on charges of “criminal association for the purposes of terrorist activity” for allegedly sabotaging train lines in France.
When I first heard of this book it was in The New York Times book section. A group had organized an unauthorized reading of “The Coming Insurrection” at a New York City bookstore. When they were shooed out of the store they went to Starbucks and so on. Not exactly terrorist activity; more of a curiosity.
But it gets a little more creepy when you look at this: One of those leaders arrested in France Julien Coupat was held for six months and just released this May. According to a story in The Globe and Mail back in January of 2008 while visiting Canada, Coupat and his girlfriend sneaked over the border to visit New York City. According to relatives, they didn’t want their photos and fingerprints in the hands of U.S. authorities. Why is that? (By the way are our borders protected yet?)
Remember the media will tell you the right is the one to be feared. They do everything they can to tie any random nutjob shooting to conservatives. “The shooter was a fan of ‘24′ — ‘24′ starred Jon Voight — Jon Voight is a conservative!”
But this is a call for violence. Here is more:
“It’s a question of knowing how to fight, to pick locks, to set broken bones and treat sicknesses; how to build a pirate radio transmitter; how to set up street kitchens; how to aim straight.”
The synopsis of the book describes it as “an eloquent call to arms arising from the recent waves of social contestation in France and Europe… a strategic prescription for an emergent war-machine to spread anarchy and live communism.”
A few years ago I said that Europe is on the brink of destruction. This is yet another sign that it’s coming. Even in Japan where protests have been seen as taboo since the 1960s, young people angered over the economy and fear for their future — taking to the streets, beginning to unionize. The communist party of Japan says they are getting 1,000 new members a month.
This book has not even been released in this country yet. It has been passed hand to hand and via the Internet, much like the pamphleteers in pre-revolution America. Thomas Paine was one of them. He issued a call to arms. I am not doing that. You are an idiot if you start shooting people — all that does is delegitimize the cause. Be like Ghandi [sic], like Martin Luther King.
But people on the extreme left are calling people to arms. I am not calling to ban this book, but you should read it to know what is coming and be ready when it does.
Update : Terrible news for Terrie-Anne: Indian media have picked up on her racist diatribes, presumably further confirming in the minds of the Indian public(s) — and despite PM KRudd’s assurances to the contrary — that ‘Australia’ — and moreover ‘Australians’ — are, well, kinda racist. Terrie-Anne “was reported to have written extremely rude comments about the recently attacked Indian students in Australia, saying that attacked Indian students were “playing the victim card” and the “shit around their head must do something to their brain”. “Maybe a gun to their head might help them get the hint that they are not wanted here!”, Verney reportedly wrote on one of her Facebook groups.”
Silly Terrie-Anne!
NB. “Terrie-Anne Verney is the Sales Manager for 95.1 FM. Contact her today to see exactly what Community Radio can do for you!”
Oh dear.
Once there were keyboard warriors — over 60,000 of them — belonging to ‘The Facebook Special Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics’, aka‘Fuck Off We’re Full’. Sadly, it was subverted by Un-Australian forces, and so a new group was established, with a very similar name, but this time under the careful stewardship of ‘Australian Protectionist Party’ spokesperson Darrin Hodges and his leading lady Terrie-Anne Verney: Terrie-Anne has a position @ ‘multi-cultural’ community radio station Griffith FM. Further:
I have been writing for many years, and am currently studying journalism.
I write regular newsletter articles for community organisations, and write advertising copy.
I work in broadcasting, at a not for profit radio station, where I am the sales manager/office assistant.
I have varied intrests [sic] and general knowledge in many fields.
I am an accurate typer [sic] and very efficent [sic], with Australian English being my native language.
Some very obvious questions occur at this point:
1. Is Griffith too full of immigrants?
2. Should immigrants thinking of moving to Griffith simply “fuck off” as Terri-Anne recommends?
3. Are all the KKK members Terrie-Anne claims to have met as “intelligent” as those who wear bedsheets and burn crosses on other people’s front lawns?
4. Does the “shit” which Indian students wrap around their heads really damage their mental functioning, as Terrie-Anne argues?
Terrie-Anne is on the air in Griffith every Saturday. This week’s guest is a Canberra mom named Nicole Hanley.
A presenter for a NSW community radio station that specialises in multicultural programming has been reprimanded after she was revealed to be an administrator of several racist, anti-immigration groups on Facebook.
Terrie-Anne Verney, a presenter and sales representative for Griffith FM radio station 2MIA, was the administrator of the group “F— Off, We’re Full” and had also joined several Facebook groups including “Stop the Islamisation of Australia while we still can”, “Australian Conservative United Party”, the “Australian Protectionist Party” and “Australians against Multiculturalism”.
In posts on the site she ridiculed foreigners who did not have a good grasp of English, claimed the Islamic faith was destroying the Australian way of life and said that attacked Indian students should go back home to study.
She also wrote that groups of immigrants tended to develop a “mob mentality”, claimed KKK members she knew were “intelligent” and that she did not want immigrants who did not speak English or assimilate into “the Australian life” to be allowed into the country.
“If we allow the Islamic faith to continue to grow, sooner or later the Australian way of life will be destroyed,” Ms Verney wrote in one post.
“I can’t even imagine where we start to fix the problems caused by the introduction of this *cough cough* religion and its invasion of our society, but something needs to be done. Before its (sic) too late.”
Of bashed Indian students, she said they were “playing the victim card” and “the shit around their head must do something to their brain”.
“Maybe a gun to their head might help them get the hint that they are not wanted here!!,” she wrote.
Edna Wakley, president of the Griffith Community FM Association and station manager at 2MIA, said in a statement that she was “horrified” by Ms Verney’s affiliations, and that she was unaware of until yesterday.
She said the station did “not condone in any way sites such as these” and would “take appropriate disciplinary action where necessary”.
2MIA prides itself on “multicultural programming” and has several presenters from diverse backgrounds. Ms Verney works there as a sales representative and also presents a music show on Saturday afternoons.
“It is disappointing that this staff member’s actions could place a cloud over the integrity of this Association and all that it has achieved in Ethnic Broadcasting, multiculturalism and the community at large,” the statement said.
When Ms Verney was approached for comment over her Facebook posts, she said it was “unfortunate” patriotism was now regarded as racism.
“As a proud Aussie, I welcome new Australians in the hope and belief that they too, become proud Aussies,” she said.
“This country is beautiful the way it is, and like most average citizens, [I] do not want our society to change to suit others’ needs.”
But after this website approached 2MIA for a comment yesterday, Ms Verney began removing some of her Facebook group affiliations and posts.
In April, a contractor for one of Australia’s largest Defence Department-linked companies was suspended after she was alleged to have been involved as an administrator of the neo-Nazi web forum Blood & Honour.
“I don’t mind having battles, but let them be battles about policy and ideas not battles on negative campaigning… We’ve got an extraordinarily highly educated community … you can’t resort to simple slogans.” ~ Carlo Carli
“My job is to win seats for the Labor Party and not participate in popularity contests.” ~ Stephen Newnham
Hurr hurr.
In the popularity contest that is a state election, you can resort to simple slogans for the benefit of the poorly educated community of north Brunswick amiright?
According to a report in The Age, the ALP is faced with a real struggle to retain their century-old stranglehold over the inner city seats of Brunswick (1904–*), Melbourne (1905–*), Northcote (1927–) and Richmond (1908–*) as a result of:
The Victorian ALP is divided about whether fighting dirty is the best way to turn back the “Green tide” in former Labor strongholds…
Will the ALP fight dirty?
Are the police corrupt? Does The Pope shit in the woods?
“This is New Labour’s legacy. They sacrificed principles, debates, humanity, purpose and personality for the prize of getting elected. But now they can’t get elected to anything so there is absolutely nothing left.” ~ Mark Steel on the EU elections.
The changing tide is inevitable: the ALP is doomed in the inner city I tells ya, doomed! The question is, will the bad news come in 2010, or later? In the 2006 state election, Carlo Carli snuck in on a two-party preferred basis (53.65% ~vs~ 46.35%; the Socialist Alliance/Democratic Socialist Perspective candidate gaining 645 votes (1.94%)). In Northcote (Fiona Richardson), the margin was 58.52% ~vs~ 41.48% (Alex Bhatal); in Melbourne (Bronwyn Pike), 52.01% ~vs~ 47.99% (Richard Di Natale); and in Richmond (Richard Wynne) 53.64% ~vs~ 46.36% (Gurm Sekhon).
The People’s Republic of Brunswick has of course got form. In 1992, Dr. Phil was elected to the Federal seat of Wills, narrowly defeating a rat, Ian Formal, endorsed by local anarchists (a mere 4,348 votes or 6.4%). He won Wills again in 1993, then lost it in 1996. Recently, cheeky Phil quipped: “If I ran and the Greens and I preferenced, the ALP would be a dead duck” (Cleary likely to take Brunswick off Labor, Sarah-Jane Collins, The Age, June 23, 2009).
In January, poor old Race ‘Mondragon is ace!’ Matthews was the bearer of bad tidings:
In a letter to leaders of Premier John Brumby’s dominant Right faction, former cabinet minister Race Mathews reveals the party’s national membership has plummeted to about 50,000 — down from about 370,000 immediately after World War II — and the average age is about 50. Dr Mathews’ letter, dated last Thursday and obtained by The Age, says there are fewer than 13,000 ALP members in Victoria and most are inactive. He says this is “a recipe for extinction, and places the party in the category of an endangered species.” ~ The ALP facing extinction?, January 31, 2009.
Kinda sorta. The Labor rank ‘n’ file may be disappearing (who joins apart from the sons and daughters of older members and/or student politicians and/or or trade union hacks?), but the Labor Mafia retains overall control of both the political and industrial wings of the labour movement. As a result, trade unions continue to pump millions into Labor’s coffers annually, and provide a stepping-stone into (and sometimes out of) power for several generations of middle class careerists. (The Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union / Australian Services Union / Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union / Australian Workers’ Union / Blind Workers Union / Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Plumbing & Allied Workers Union / Construction, Forestry, Mining & Energy Union / Health Services Union of Australia / Institute of Marine & Power Engineers / Australian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union / Maritime Union of Australia / National Union of Workers / Rail, Tram & Bus Union / Shop Distributive & Allied Employees’ Association / Textile, Clothing & Footwear Union of Australia / Transport Workers Union / United Firefighters Union are all affiliated to the Victorian ALP.)
Race himself is a Fabian — the pinko stream within the ALP, whose famous members include(d) Dapper Don, Nifty Nev & The Silver Bodgie — and a proponent of ‘Distributism’ (see review of Matthew’s Jobs of Our Own: Building a Stakeholder Society, Pluto Press, 1999 by Ian Barns (Murdoch University) [PDF]).
…In Canada Gary Jewell had been in the IWW and raised funds for our prisoners. He had definitely changed sides but had not thought fit to announce his change to his former associates. He visited England in the late Seventies and met many people in the old SWF and they found it hard to believe he had reneged, but we had it from himself in black and white, telling the spurious journal he had been a syndicalist and was now a “third positionist”. This was a line coming into favour from British fascism, suggesting they wanted neither capitalism nor communism but a third position, and mixed with the nonsense of Distributism and Catholic-Fascism. To muddle the situation further I wrote a cod pamphlet putting forward the claims of Constructivism but not saying what it was. It was a theory invented by a fictitious person I always referred to as The Beloved Dr Ludwig Gans or The Great and Learned Dr Gans. I had invented him years before when at the invitation of some group on the lines of Mensa, I gave a lecture in a series of others in which they had to guess which was deliberately phoney. I pulled one over on them by giving it on Constructivism and all these Certified Intelligents believed it, nodding in agreement when I mentioned Ludwig Gans’ work The Menace of Anti-Constructivism. I did it as a pure joke on George Plume, its secretary, who was always kidding someone. He even pretended to have been sentenced to death during the war for incitement by supporting a Scottish Nationalist in a by-election, only being reprieved because the seat had been won.
I am told that Constructivism, while never as popular as Distributism though equally mysterious, was seriously discussed in fascist circles for some time after I quite inadvertently slipped it in, though nobody ever knew what it was except the great and good Dr Gans, and he never existed.
It was a shame to lose him altogether so once or twice I put in quotes from him in Black Flag as a joke against Marxists who wrote in with equally preposterous quotations. Sure as fate one such wrote in, protesting at the notoriously “reactionary professor” currently in favour with the fascists.
Whatever you think of Constructivism, so far as I was concerned, it beat Gustav Metzger and his Auto-Destructive Art hands down, and was a change from writing sense, with nobody, certified intelligent or not, nodding in agreement.
~ Albert Meltzer, I Couldn’t Paint Golden Angels, AK Press, 1996, Chapter XVIII: The Wooden Horse.
Two Greek anarchists are making molotov cocktails. One says to the other: "So who will we throw these at then?" The other replies: "What are you, some kind of fucking intellectual?"
